Final Fantasy 7 Remake Fan Shows Off Incredibly Accurate Tifa Cosplay
It seems that there is no shortage of Final Fantasy cosplay these days, especially for Square Enix's modern rendition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Fans have taken to dressing up as characters of the game to show off their love and admiration for them. However, most of the cosplay seems to be focused on one of FF7R's female leads in Tifa Lockhart. Recently, another fan went online to show off their incredibly accurate cosplay of the fist fighter, emulating an iconic pose in the role-playing game.
Fans will likely agree that Final Fantasy 7 is no stranger to fan adulation. Intense love for the game and its compelling narrative was basically what fueled Square Enix to develop the modern remaster of the title. However, fans not only patronize the video game by purchasing official merchandise and other paraphernalia, they have also taken to creating their own content to show off how much they love FF7. This often leads to amazing creations using the iconic Final Fantasy 7 logo, gorgeous fanart, and of course, amazingly detailed cosplay costumes.
One of the many fans to post their cosplay of Tifa Lockhart on the Final Fantasy subReddit, user miss_mononoke set herself apart from the rest of the crowd by sharing a photo that recreated the character's main marketing material even before the game was released. In a half body photo, the cosplayer seemed to have Tifa's whole outfit down, from the suspenders, the double-layered sports top, and her well-known arm guards. Given that Final Fantasy 7 weapons are very hard to recreate due to them being quite detailed and unrealistic, the attention to specifics on miss_mononoke's bracers are a great show of craftsmanship.
Comments on the Reddit thread were mostly positive, stating that miss_mononoke's rendition of the character was very impressive. One even thought the photo was a rendered image from the game. However, one commenter did not seem pleased that another Tifa Lockhart cosplay has made its way into the forum again. However, with just how popular Tifa is, cosplays of the character are bound to keep being crafted and shared online.
As Square Enix remains silent on news about Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2, original fan content and cosplay are likely the only ways fans can get their fill of the title. Players are likely hoping that the development team will not keep them waiting, given that Square Enix continues to work on other titles in the Final Fantasy franchise.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now on PS4 and PS5.
